My aunt is renting a house in Tempe, Arizona and has lived there for 15 years. The owner died last year and the house has been in probate ever since. Around the 2nd of May, the dead owner’s girlfriend told my Uncle they were going to sell the house and he STUPIDLY told her they would be out by next week. Well, an official date was never set and yesterday, the real estate agent comes to the house and tells them they need to be out by NOON today. What are the laws on giving renters notice on vacating premises in Arizona? 30 days? 2 weeks??
No contracts were signed by the family. I honestly don’t know WHY they wouldn’t protect themselves, but apparently they signed nothing. Everything was verbal.
